panoramic captives
dangle seraphic
swivel in silver bands
of tangled light
unhinged bridges
sink the shingles
and grieving eaves
of my crescent roof
exquisite apparitions
blinking Black
on kindred sides
of one reality
holograms drawn
in beveled proof
wings torn weightless
between this night
and morning’s revelry

i feel like i am in that thin place before the sun comes up…really nice flow through out.. a bit surreal but then again that time is…the last stanza and the break out line are my favs…

This has such lovely word play – rhyme, assonance, dissonance–you use sound really well throughout but some that jump to the ear–grieving eaves–unhinged bridges – sink the shingles–blinking Black (so much like blinking back) – the word usage here is its own beveled hologram. Good job! K.

I really enjoyed the hanging time of this, an affinity that is captured but still elusive. Wonderful words! ~ Rose

thank you very much Rose…this piece about the very special connection/bond shared by my sister (who passed away 16 years ago) and my daughter. It’s really something to witness.

Like a kaleidoscope refracting the colors of the day, this poem rotates with each verse to imbue another perspective, another coloration, another thought
