ambient light
from a blue table
in the corner
of his room
gentle hands
roll up
my black camisole
and try to quiet
the little voice
         I don’t mind
though I
can’t help
but wonder
if the sutured moon
ever worries about
the savage way
the gods
have stacked
the stars
upon the sky
